Pastor Kevin Kibsey
With the whole church on heaven and earth, we aim to give God all glory. Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church is an independent, voluntary member of the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ association.
This call-based, permission-giving ministry has given birth to many everyday people who have committed to God, one another, and the church. These men and woman, willing to be accountable to one another, are historically known by many names: servants, ministers, the priesthood of all believers, pastors, saints and sinners. The name does not matter, so we call these men and woman the Pastorhood- a neighborhood of pastors. Anyone interested in learning more about the pastorhood is welcome to ask any of these pastors. The pastorhood gathers to pray, lead, worship, study, plan, and to equip one another. The early church was served by a small army of committed pastors sold out to the person of Jesus Christ. You could call the first 12 disciples a pastorhood, people who were welcomed, equipped, and deployed by Jesus. The present/future church is returning to that Jesus WAY of old. Through intentional coaching, seminar classes, leadership training, seminary and Bible school continuing education, reading, and studying the Word, the pastorhood remains open to the Holy Spirit to serve Jesus, His church and the world.
